Good to know
- The NicoDerm CQ label's 10-week schedule for people who smoke more than 10 cigarettes a day is Step 1 for weeks 1–6, Step 2 for weeks 7–8 and Step 3 for weeks 9–10.
- For people who smoke 10 or fewer cigarettes a day, the label says to start with Step 2 for 6 weeks, then Step 3 for 2 weeks.
- Store-brand patches don't all come from the same source: in the FDA's NDC directory, Walmart's and Target's 14 mg patches are listed under NicoDerm CQ's own application (NDA 020165), CVS's and Kroger's Step 2 patches (and one of Walgreens') under Habitrol's (NDA 020076), and Walgreens' clear 14 mg patch under a generic approval (ANDA 074612).
