Good to know
- Nicorette's label says to use 4 mg if your first cigarette is within 30 minutes of waking up, and 2 mg if it's later.
- Store-brand nicotine gums are FDA-approved generics of Nicorette (approved through abbreviated new drug applications).
- Flavor and coating (original, mint, cinnamon, fruit) don't change the dose — every 4 mg piece has the same nicotine.
