Good to know
- Aleve Back & Muscle Pain, Aleve Headache Pain and the Aleve Arthritis easy-open-cap bottles all list the same active ingredient: naproxen sodium 220 mg per tablet.
- Each 220 mg naproxen sodium tablet contains 200 mg naproxen and about 20 mg of sodium — the label lists both.
- Aleve Arthritis Pain Gel is not naproxen: it is diclofenac sodium 1%, the same drug as Voltaren.
- Aleve PM adds diphenhydramine HCl 25 mg, and Aleve-D adds the decongestant pseudoephedrine, which is sold from behind the pharmacy counter.
