Good to know
- Pepcid AC Original Strength (10 mg) and Pepcid AC Maximum Strength (20 mg) are the same drug at different doses.
- Pepcid Complete is a different product: famotidine 10 mg plus two antacids, calcium carbonate 800 mg and magnesium hydroxide 165 mg, in a chewable tablet.
- Zantac 360 contains famotidine (not ranitidine, Zantac's original ingredient); its FDA listings are for 20 mg tablets, so it belongs with Maximum Strength, not this group.
