Good to know
- Same brand, different drugs: Lotrimin AF cream is clotrimazole 1%, but Lotrimin AF sprays and powders are miconazole nitrate 2%, and Lotrimin Ultra is butenafine HCl 1%. The FDA lists the clotrimazole cream under the brand name "Lotrimin".
- Store-brand "Clotrimazole 3" vaginal creams are clotrimazole 2% for vaginal yeast infections — a different product, not interchangeable with this skin cream.
- Lotrimin AF cream is listed in 12 g, 15 g, 24 g and 30 g tubes; most store-brand tubes are 14–15 g (0.5 oz) or 28 g (1 oz).
