- Tylenol 8 HR Arthritis Pain and Tylenol 8HR (sold as Muscle Aches & Pain, NDC 50580-309) are the same caplet: their FDA labels list the same 650 mg extended-release bi-layer caplet, identical inactive ingredients and the same "TYLENOL ER" imprint. Only the box name and the order of the listed uses differ.
- A newer Tylenol 8 HR Muscle Aches & Pain listing (NDC 50580-576) has the same 650 mg extended-release dose and imprint but a different inactive-ingredient list.
- Store-brand "8 HR" and "Arthritis Pain Relief" acetaminophen 650 mg extended-release caplets are the same dose as Tylenol 8 HR.
- Not interchangeable dose-for-dose with Extra Strength (500 mg immediate-release): 8 HR caplets are taken 2 every 8 hours, maximum 6 in 24 hours.
